Beauty

This is another peom by Famous Taylor II.  I love this poem because it is his interpretation of beauty. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder so the question is, what is your definition of beauty?


BEAUTY

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder
Well I'm holding my eyes looking at you and see beauty
I see it at more than just a physical level
When you talk and they way you look at me
In your actions when we are around other people
I hear it in your voice when we are on the phone
Or when you're mad or concerned about me or what I do
I see it when you open yourself to talk to me about issues
And I see it when you're sad and shedding a tear on my shoulder
True beauty, the beauty I see in you
So many different ways and so many different levels of beauty you have
It has such and effect on me, on my soul
But you know what it feels beautiful inside me
I don't care what anybody else has to say about you
Because like they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder
And your beauty is so perfect to me

wrong event

Memphis Idol and the Memphis Star were two separate events, the event I attended last Thursday was for the Memphis Star. The event was very nice and they moved rapidly from contestant to contestant. I did not get to attend the Memphis Idol event so if any of you did could you please post and let everyone know how it was?

Grace - Regina Stuart

Regina Stuart is a self-taught artist who lives in Memphis, Tn. She is new to the art world, even though she has been surrounded by art for most of her life.  Her mother, Bridgett Stuart is an artist, graphic designer, and a poet. Regina has recently dabbled in canvas art and costume design. She has also designed tote bags. Her second painting/3D mixed media project was recently displayed at Sycamore View Church of Christ 1st Annual Artist Night. She enjoys art as a hobby and loves to create it during her free time.

Memphis Idol

Tomorrow November the 17th at 7:30 in the UC Ballrooom come out and vote for the next U of M idol.  There will be a special performance by Butta MD and there will also be free food and Swag Bags will be handed out. I hope to see you there to cheer on all the performers.

This landscape was done by Ms. Bridgett Stuart. She is 51 years old and currently works as a school social worker/counselor and freelance artist. She's always enjoyed the creative process, but was inspired to go to design school while recovery from severe burns in October 2005. She went to the International Academy of Design and Technology in Nashville, TN. graduating magna cum laude with a degree in graphic design/visual communication.

Obsession

I need to know is my feelings for you an obsession.

Sometimes I wonder and it keeps me guessing.

I often break down and find myself stressing.

Because I know I can be overly jealous and it gets depression.

I know sometimes I give you a jerk’s impression

When it comes to your clothes, or a girl’s night out session

I would like to apologize for all of the mess in

This relationship that’s caused by my obsession

Something for you and I to get out of this lesson

Is that it’s not lust, jealousy, incompetence, lack of

Self confidence, it’s not ownership, male dominance, or hatred,

It’s not distrust, or misplaced aggression,

But rather the fact that you complete me and see through my transgression

And I don’t want to take a chance to lose you

Because I believe that you are my blessing

God’s gift to me for my Love Obsession.
